Why offer abortion seeker support as a social service worker?
Abortion is an incredibly common form of healthcare, yet is often hard to navigate and highly stigmatized. Social service workers provide a unique opportunity to support pregnant people in navigating their community’s healthcare and reproductive options while simultaneously providing social supports.
Learn at your own pace
This online course was developed with the support of expert counsellors working in abortion care, and specifically speaks to the role of social service workers. The course is delivered through 10 online, self-paced lessons and includes a certificate of completion after completing the evaluation.
