Abortion Care Canada will be closed for the holidays from December 22, 2025, to January 2, 2026. Our team will return on January 5, 2026, and will begin responding to requests at that time. Please note that due to the volume of inquiries received during our closure, our response times may be slower than usual. We appreciate your patience.

We believe in equitable access to abortion care.
For over 17 years we have enhanced access to abortion as National Abortion Federation Canada. We are thrilled to continue this work as Abortion Care Canada.
What we do
Support people
We help people to access abortion care by providing systems navigation, options counselling, and financial support.
Teach professionals
We teach clinicians to provide evidence-based abortion care. We also teach social service workers to support abortion seekers.
Build community
We build connections between abortion providers across Canada to maintain a strong abortion care community.
Need help accessing abortion?
Our Abortion Access team is here for you. We can provide accurate information, connect you to abortion care facilities or community-based supports, and offer financial assistance if needed. Our services are available in English, French, and Spanish with additional languages upon request.
Learn about abortion
Healthcare providers
Our Medication Abortion Training prepares primary care providers to offer high-quality medication abortion care. Six self-paced online modules and a live Q&A session cover a range of topics including medication protocols, patient-centered counselling, and how to integrate medication abortion into primary care settings. Participants can earn up to 6 MainPro+® credits.
Launching early 2025, our Supporting Abortion Seekers course is designed for social service workers such as social workers, counsellors, and doulas. Learn to navigate your community’s reproductive health resources and become a trusted source of pro-choice information. The course is delivered through 10 self-paced online modules and includes a certificate of completion.
Our impact
In 2024, we continued to increase access to abortion in Canada. Here’s a snapshot of what we achieved:
abortion seekers supported with information, systems navigation, or financial support
total financial support provided to people facing geographic or financial barriers to abortion
